Bachelor of Music - Performance

The bachelor of music in performance is a pre-professional degree designed to prepare students who wish to pursue a future in the professional music world as a performing artist or studio teacher. This degree requires an emphasis in orchestral instruments, jazz, piano or voice. A key component of the degree is the requirement for solo and ensemble performances, including junior and senior recitals, where students showcase their progress and artistry. Specialized courses explore pedagogy, repertoire, stage presence, and the psychological aspects of performance. Applied instruction through private lessons and ensemble participation helps refine performance technique and interpretation. Throughout the program, students work closely with experienced faculty and guest artists to enhance their skills.
