The BEng Electronic Engineering programme aims to produce professional and competent Electronic Engineers capable of playing an active role in meeting the challenges and opportunities that arise in contemporary industrial and commercial practices. Students will develop core electronics design capabilities, which are developed and enhanced progressively through the course. This programme explores the principles underlying the design and implementation of up todate analogue and digital systems needed in a variety of problem domains and provides the opportunity of realising such systems. You'll cover a wide range of topics which demonstrate the diversity of roles within this growing area. From physical computing to IoT, analogue electronics to digital system design. You will develop your skills with plenty of hands on practice in our Cisco, Xilinx and LABVIEW Academy. You'll also have our dedicated facilities, which are equipped with industry standard equipment in electronics, mechatronics, robotics and networking solutions.
Career Path
This programme will prepare students to work in a number of areas including design engineering, electrical, electronic, computer and engineering. The breadth of opportunities available after completing an electronics engineering degree is immense. Careers range from electronics or associated industries such as robotics, mechatronics, automation etc. all over the world. Graduates may also start their own business in electronic design and/or production and be a part of the automation boom.
Students may work part time for up to 20 hours per week and full time during academic breaks. After graduation, students can transition from student status to legal employment through an employer sponsored two year work permit.

Middlesex University Dubai will accept, for the purposes of meeting the English proficiency requirement, evidence of English study within a 12 year education system where English is designated as the primary and official language and the principal language of instruction. For applicants who do not yet meet the English language requirement, there are two pathways to achieve the necessary level:
Pre sessional English Programme; Students may successfully complete a preparatory English programme offered by the university before beginning their academic course. Recognized English Proficiency Tests; Students may submit one of the following minimum scores prior to the start of their program: IELTS: 6.5 overall band score (or equivalent), TOEFL or PTE: Score of 60, Duolingo English Test: Score of 120.
