The Plumbing and Heating program at CDC Pont Viau (offered in partnership with Construc Plus Vocational Centre in Saint Eustache, Québec) is a 14 month vocational training (1,680 hours) that prepares students to become pipe fitters specializing in plumbing and heating systems. It is taught in English within a bilingual environment and leads to a Diploma of Vocational Studies (DVS) recognized by Québec’s Ministry of Education. This program prepares students to practice the trade of pipe fitter. This trade is part of the building services sector and includes two specialties: plumbing and heating. The program trains students in the installation, modification, repair, and maintenance of water supply and drainage systems, as well as heating systems such as hydronic, steam, forced air, oil, radiant, natural gas, and propane. It also introduces emerging technologies in renewable energy, including geothermal and solar heating.

CDC Pont Viau, Canada will accept, for the purposes of meeting the English proficiency requirement, evidence of English study within a 12 year education system where English is designated as the primary and official language and the principal language of instruction. Pre sessional English Programme; Students may successfully complete a preparatory English programme offered by the university before beginning their academic course.
