The Level 3 Diploma in Information Technology (60 Credits) is an Ofqual regulated foundation qualification designed to equip learners with core technical expertise in computer systems, networking, and software applications required for IT entry level roles or higher education progression. The program covers 6 core units assessed through online coursework assignments: Understanding hardware components, operating systems, and computer assembly. Principles of HTML, CSS, client side scripting, and responsive website construction. Designing relational databases, data manipulation, and SQL queries. Network topologies, IP addressing, protocols, and network setup. Basic programming logic, algorithm design, and software testing. Principles of IT security, threat identification, and data protection practices.
Graduate Path
Completing the Level 3 Diploma in Information Technology (60 Credits) enables immediate entry into foundational tech roles such as IT Support Technician, Helpdesk Specialist, Junior Web Developer, or Data Entry Administrator. Mid level positions as Systems Analyst, Network Engineer, Software Developer, or Cybersecurity Administrator.
