Grade 3 serves as an important transition year in a child’s academic journey. At this level, students deepen their understanding of foundational concepts while developing critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and a greater sense of independence. Grade 3 lays the groundwork for higher-level thinking and academic challenges in later grades. Students engage with longer texts, including fiction, non-fiction, and poetry, focusing on comprehension, inference, and summarization. They craft essays, narratives, and reports, learning to structure their writing with clear paragraphs, strong sentences, and punctuation. Emphasis is placed on expanding vocabulary and mastering grammar rules, including parts of speech, verb tenses, and sentence types. Mastering multi-digit calculations and times tables. Introduction to fractions, decimals, and their real-world applications. Exploring shapes, angles, and spatial reasoning Solving practical problems that require critical thinking and reasoning.
