The Department of Architecture aims to educate architects and designers who can perceive design from a multi disciplinary perspective, who can follow and contribute to contemporary developments both at a national and international level, who can develop creative solutions, and who have a solid knowledge of design/construction law and project management as well as sustainability. For the above reasons, the curriculum of the Department of Architecture of Istanbul Medipol University is specifically designed as a new and unique model that integrates architectural studio themes with technology, art, architectural history and professional practice, creating a strong foundation for professional life.

Undergraduate student can work after they complete their first year at the university up 24 hours a week. Turkish laws allow students who graduate to apply for one year long residence/work permit.

İstanbul Medipol University will accept, for the purposes of meeting the English proficiency requirement, evidence of English study within a 12 year education system where English is designated as the primary and official language and the principal language of instruction. For applicants who do not yet meet the English language requirement, there are two pathways to achieve the necessary level:
Pre-sessional English Programme; Students may successfully complete a preparatory English programme offered by the university before beginning their academic course. Recognized English Proficiency Tests; Students may submit one of the following minimum scores prior to the start of their program: IELTS: 6.5 overall band score (or equivalent), TOEFL or PTE: Score of 60, Duolingo English Test: Score of 120.
