The Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice is a four year interdisciplinary program in the study of crime and the administration of the justice system. The “criminal justice system” study consists of law enforcement, courts, and corrections as a system for the administration of city, county, state, and federal laws and procedures. The University strives to endow students with the skills necessary for critical knowledge, communication, personal growth, and real world application opportunities within the Criminal Justice discipline. The curriculum includes a historical overview of the stages of development through which the criminal justice system has evolved and the current state of the system. A broad range of analyses will be offered to meet the academic needs of both professional students who plan future careers in the criminal justice field.

Huston-Tillotson University will accept, for the purposes of meeting the English proficiency requirement, evidence of English study within a 12 year education system where English is designated as the primary and official language and the principal language of instruction. For applicants who do not yet meet the English language requirement, there are two pathways to achieve the necessary level:
Pre sessional English Programme; Students may successfully complete a preparatory English programme offered by the university before beginning their academic course. Recognized English Proficiency Tests; Students may submit one of the following minimum scores prior to the start of their program: IELTS: 6.5 overall band score (or equivalent), TOEFL or PTE: Score of 60, Duolingo English Test: Score of 120.
