The MSc in Cyber Security is a specialist master’s degree designed for graduates who want to gain knowledge and skills in advanced topics in data and network security to combat 21st century cyber threats. The programme focuses on developing your practical and hands on skills to pursue a career in the growing field of cyber security. Taught in our purpose built laboratory, the curriculum covers computer systems and network security, cyberattacks and defence, intrusion detection and prevention, data security, and network monitoring. These components are built on a strong foundation of knowledge in computer networks, both wired and wireless, using industry standard systems. The course leverages strong industry links in its learning, teaching and professional development, incorporating real world learning through industry case studies, guest lecturer involvement and supported industry projects.
Graduate Path
Cyber security professionals are in demand across a wide range of industries, including finance, healthcare, government, technology and critical infrastructure. Roles that use these skills may include: Cyber Security Analyst, Security Consultant, Information Security Officer, Digital Forensics Specialist, Penetration Tester, Security Operations Centre Analyst, Risk and Compliance Specialist
International student can work up to 20 hours per week and full time during official school breaks and vacations. Graduates can apply for 18 months Graduate visa to live, study, and work.

UWS London accept, for the purposes of meeting the English proficiency requirement, evidence of English study within a 12 year education system where English is designated as the primary and official language and the principal language of instruction. For applicants who do not yet meet the English language requirement, there are two pathways to achieve the necessary level:
Recognized English Proficiency Tests; Students may submit one of the following minimum scores of IELTS: 6.5 overall band score and or PTE Academic: Score of 60.
