The Associate of Arts Degree at KPU is an exit credential designed to provide a more rigorous and broad educational experience than the Diploma with much of the same flexibility. The credential prepares students for employment, global citizenship and critical thinking, and can be used as a solid foundation for future studies. The Associate of Arts in General Studies option is for students who have not selected a major area of study. Through an Associate of Arts degree General Studies students will seek opportunities that match their interests and create a unique academic path that suits their goals. General Studies is the most flexible area of study at KPU, as it allows students to take courses from a variety of disciplines. Working with an Arts Degree Advisor, you can create a personal program of study that helps you reach specific career and personal goals, intentionally developing a broad interdisciplinary liberal arts education.
