Ibn Haldun University

Our foundation was established in 1996 under the leadership of our president Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan when he was the Mayor of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality. Our foundation, which served in Istanbul under the name of Istanbul Youth and Education Service Foundation (ISEGEV) from the date of its establishment until 2012, took the name of Turkey Youth and Education Service Foundation (TÜRGEV) as of 2012 and made it our main goal to serve throughout Turkey.

Ibn Haldun University aims to provide its graduates with the ability to utilize the scientific traditions, methods, and concepts related to Eastern and Western civilizations within the framework of its global objectives, its mission as a research university focused on social sciences, and its principle of intellectual independence. In this regard, it is of great importance for our students to develop skills in thinking and expressing themselves in different languages and to have easier access to primary sources in different languages.

Ibn Haldun University is a boutique university where a distinguished group of academics meet qualified students in graduate and undergraduate programs with 10-20 student quotas, and education environments are designed for a one on one education, mostly in small classrooms. Our University, with a “Student/Academic” ratio is 5, is among the top universities of Türkiye in this regard. This allows for education, research and academic counselling and project processes are pursued in a way that each student may discover their own potential and put it into motion under the guidance of our academics.
